Scenario Labs and Integrated Assessment Modelling for Bioeconomy Development

SLAM-B briefly

"Scenario labs for designing and assessing territorial bioeconomy trajectories towards carbon neutrality"

SLAM-B is targeted project no. 2 of the exploratory PEPR FairCarboN.
FairCarboN aims to mobilize the entire French scientific community studying carbon in continental ecosystems.

SLAM-B will position French research as an active and recognized community in terms of integrated modeling and assessment approaches, as well as knowledge production on the modalities of transitions towards a sustainable bioeconomy.
The objectives of SLAM-B are to :

  • Design circular and "green" bioeconomy scenarios to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, adapted to climate change and meeting the challenges of the Food - Non Food - Natural Resources nexus.
  • Develop Integrated Assessment and Modelling (IAM) approaches and apply them in scenario labs and at French and European levels.
